Fans of the 2006 ETID DVD know what’s up. 

1. What’s does a “new year” mean? Everyone gets hyped on resolutions. On starting fresh. Turning a new page. But really… what changed from a week ago? Nothing. Other than a calendar changing one number. BUT I totally understand that people use it as a guide to try to be better. A marker to show improvement (or the opposite) from year to year. Lose weight? Yes. Drink less? Depends. Watch Lost again? No. Release an album? YES! Rock and Roll? DEFINITELY.

2. My resolution, if anything, is the pursuit of disciplen. Exercise daily. Wake up around the same time. Form good habits. Don’t eat snacks. Limit sugar intake. I’ve slacked on my overall disciple over the past few years. Hoping to dial things in a bit again. It’s fun to be disciplined. This Newsletter was a fun discipline to start last year. Weekly writing. Consistency and disciple go hand in hand. I only forgot to send the newsletter one time. Pissed me off when I realized it.

3. Our April shows should start to take form soon. Updates soon. San Diego (Vista, CA) on April 12 is with NIV, The Undertaking!, Meadows and probably 2 locals. We are currently searching for an all ages LA venue for April 11. We’ll find one.

4. Thunderbolts* - did we ever talk about this movie? I watched it with Henry and it’s really really good. The handling of depression and what it feels like (a void) is so true. He’s really taken a liking to Yelena. He laughed out loud a bunch during Hawkeye in her brief appearance. He was bummed she wasn’t as funny in Thunderbolts* but its cause she had to be more emo.

5. I bought the Shockwave windbreaker that Quiggle had for sale a couple months ago. It’s THE one y’all. Its waterproof. It’s hefty (but not too hefty). It’s cool enough but also warm enough. Long story short - expect a windbreaker with the reaper on it soon. How soon? I don’t freakin’ know. But it’ll happen. 

6. The Big Picture did their 25 for ’25 list - I enjoyed listening. They ranked their favorite 25 movies of the last 25 years. Some good movies. They had some interesting parameters, like only one film per director, so spoiler alert, Inside Llewelyn David was their Coen pick over No Country. It’s actually why I love personalized lists because No Country might be the consensus Coen choice, but not for Sean and Amanda. Their list their rules. 

7. What to expect in ’26 - Dune 3. Doomsday. Dunesday. New Idle Threat? The Odyssey. Disclosure Day. All the greats are releasing stuff this year. 

8. One time, a band asked if we stole a Tequila bottle from their green room. We did not, in fact, steal the tequila but offered up our Coors Lite as a token of our condolences. They scoffed. Never found out who took the tequila.
